Karachi is located in Sindh and it is capital of Sindh many people are moving there due to mega city and its population is increasing time to time. Due to immense increase in population it was required that there must be independent educational board there that is named as board of intermediate and secondary education Karachi abbreviated as BISE Karachi. This board was formed in the year 1950 that is with the main purpose to provide quality education to students and in the year 1950 it was formed under central legislative act No. XVI of 1950.

Before the formation of this board educational system in Karachi was under the control of university of Sindh and after its formation first presidents of the board came out to be Mr Sultan Mohyuddin. As jurisdiction of the board consist of whole Karachi and all areas there are many government and private colleges affiliated with the board. Initially board office was established in the single room office but then it was transferred to the new building constructed head office is located at Dilawar Figar Road, Block 5, Karachi. Main objective of the board is to conduct examination for 5th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th class examination and providing students with certificates after that.

Intermediate consist of two parts and its part II is class 12th. This is not so easy level and students have to work hard. Examinations for 12th class are conducted in the month of April and May. Registration for examination starts in the month of January and these forms for students are made online and posted to affiliated colleges too. After Registration students are provided with roll number slips and date sheets. Students are provided in the board with strict rules and fair and honest behavior.

After Registration examination this year also are conducted in the month of April and May and now many student are waiting for results these results are expected to be in the month of September or October but it will be declared on the official website of the board we will also display it on our website.Students are provided with past papers and model papers and then these students are advised to work hard to gain good marks. Board also provides students who top with scholarships that is to appreciate them and boost up energy of other students.
